Amistà is establishing itself as one of the most authoritative wineries in the promotion of  Nizza DOCG  and Barbera, in the Nizza Monferrato region that exalts their finest and most elegant expressions. The company philosophy, strongly supported by owner Michele Marsiaj , is that of a  “boutique winery” : an entity that doesn’t pursue quantity, but rigorously pursues excellence, accepting the challenge of producing unique wines while fully respecting the terroir.

To guide this vision, Amistà has chosen one of Italy’s most esteemed winemakers,  Luca D’Attoma. Known for his intellectual integrity and unconventional approach, his role is a perfect fit with the company’s philosophy. D’Attoma is not simply a consultant, but a true partner who has accepted the challenge of a winemaking approach that transcends the concept of organic, achieving a balance that enhances the wines’ most authentic character. This path, in an era of climate change and emerging plant diseases, requires courageous decisions, such as drastically reducing production or forgoing entire vintages, in order not to compromise the ultimate goal: exclusive and consistent excellence.

This interview is a journey into his vision, an opportunity to understand the principles that guide his work and how Amistà’s approach can become a model for the entire supply chain.
